Follow the step-by-step instructions for a fun folding experience and create your very own paper gift card holder!

Step 1

Start with a square sheet of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

If you only have regular paper, follow these instructions on how to make a square origami paper.

Step 2

Fold from the top edge to the bottom edge.

Step 3

Unfold.

Step 4

Fold the top edge to the center leaving 1 cm space.

Step 5

Fold the bottom edge to the center leaving 1 cm space.

Step 6

Unfold.

Step 7

Fold all side corners inward.

Step 8

Fold the bottom edge again toward the center, following the crease you just made.

Step 9

Fold the top edge again toward the center, following the crease you just made.

Step 10

Turn the paper over.

Step 11

Fold the left edge toward the center.

Step 12

Fold the right edge toward the center.

Step 13

Turn the paper over.

Step 14

Fold the top edge down.

Step 15

Unfold the top edge and you’re all done.

Step 16

Now you can put your gift card inside, close it and write something nice on top.
