Start with a square piece of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

Tilt the paper as shown.

Fold in half by folding the bottom corner to the top.

Take the right corner and bring it up so the right corner aligns with the top corner.

Repeat on the left side.

Rotate the model upside down.

Take the right point and bring it up and to the right at an angle away from the top point.

Fold the top corner down a little.

Turn the model over.

Fold the bottom point up to form the cat’s chin.

Fold the tip of top flap down to make a small nose.

Fold the paper diagonally in half.

Now you have both body and head of cat.

Attach the body to the head by first upfolding the top corner, sliding the top corner of the body inside the head until the body’s corner touches the head’s corner.

Turn the model over. Draw the cat’s face and voila!
