Cool Origami Samurai Helmet Instructions

Discipline, patience, and stoicism are the undeniable qualities of a samurai, and that’s exactly what I ask of you as you follow the steps to create this origami samurai helmet.

Warning! Don’t use this origami samurai helmet in battle! It’s made of paper, so you would get hurt pretty quickly.

Step 1

Start with a square sheet of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

If you only have regular paper, follow these instructions on how to make a square origami paper.

Step 2

Rotate the paper to make it resemble a diamond.

Step 3

Fold the bottom edge to the top edge.

Step 4

Fold the bottom right corner up to meet the top corner.

Step 5

Fold the bottom left corner up to meet the top corner.

Step 6

Rotate the paper upside down.

Step 7

Fold the bottom left point corner to the top left point corner.

Step 8

Fold the bottom right point corner to the top right point corner.

Step 9

Fold the right pointy corner to the side in opposite direction.

Step 10

Fold the left pointy corner to the side in opposite direction.

Step 11

Fold the first sheet corner upward to the middle.

Step 12

Fold the edge upward from the first fold you made.

Step 13

Open the pocket.

Step 14

Fold the sheet corner inside, upward to the middle of the pocket.

Step 15

Fold the edge upward from the first fold you made.

Step 16

Pocket the remaining sheet inside the samurai helmet.

Step 17

Voila! You just made an origami samurai helmet.
