How to Make an Origami Snake

Fold a slithering origami snake with our step-by-step guide. It only takes a few minutes.
Step 1

Start with a square sheet of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

Rotate the paper to make it resemble a diamond.
Step 3

Fold the paper in half again by bringing the right corner to meet the left corner.

Unfold.

Fold the bottom right edge until it meets the midline.

Fold the bottom left edge until it meets the midline.

Fold the top right edge until it meets the midline.

Fold the top left edge until it meets the midline.

Fold the left corner until it meets the midline.

Fold the right corner until it meets the midline.

Fold the paper in half by bringing the left and right edges together and rotate the paper.

Fold up the tip of the paper at an angle.

Do an outside reverse fold by reversing the fold outward and pressing it flat along the creases.

Pull down the tip to create the snake’s head.

Now snake’s body is all done.

Glue a small tongue to the back of the face.
