Start with a square piece of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

If you only have regular paper, follow these instructions on how to make a square origami paper.

Rotate the paper into a diamond position.

Fold in half, right to left.

Unfold. We just needed a crease line.

Fold the bottom right edge to meet the center vertical crease.

Fold the bottom left edge to meet the center vertical crease.

Turn the model upside down.

Fold the bottom corner upward to meet the edge of flaps.

Fold the bottom half upward.

Fold the top flap down, leaving a slight margin.

Fold in both side corners diagonally.

Squash fold the opened flap to form a small triangle.
