How to Make a Cool Paper Fan

Step 1

Start with a rectangular sheet of origami paper. I am using an 6×9 inches origami paper.

Fold from the right edge to the left.
Step 3

Unfold.

Fold the right edge to the center.

Fold the left edge to the center.

Unfold.

Fold the right edge to the first crease.

Fold again the right edge to the first crease on the left edge.

Fold again the right edge to the first crease on the left edge.

Fold the left edge to the first crease.

Fold again the left edge to the first crease on the right edge.

Turn the paper over.

Do the zig-zag folding. Starting at one end, fold the paper to create a valley fold along the first crease. Press firmly to create a sharp crease.

Continue this alternating pattern—valley fold, then mountain fold—across the entire paper.

Once all folds are complete, you should have a zig zag or accordion pattern.

Fold the left and right edges together.
